Description

The Claytech C6X Submersible multi-stage automatic pressure pump is an ideal pump for use with rainwater tanks. As a fully submersible pump, it fits snugly inside your rainwater tank, ensuring that the pump is quiet, keeps a clean profile around your tank and requires no additional protection from the elements.  The pump can be used to pump drinking water (AS/NZS2040 approved), provide household water supply, act as a water pressure booster and can also be used in your garden for light irrigation applications.

Submersible pumps are ideal for situations where the tank is hard to get to such as an underground installation or when the tank has been positioned under a deck or in the sub-floor void. Fitted with features that provide set-and-forget installation, the Claytech C6X pump will give you peace of mind that it will go the distance.

The C6X comes with a built-in pressure controller and flexible float that facilitates dry-run protection, switching off when the float lowers to a specified level. As additional protection, the recommended installation process suggests installing the pump approximately 30cm from the base of your rainwater tank so that impurities such as dust particles and organic matter are prevented from clogging the filter screen. Fully submerged operation will also extend the life of this pump.

For applications where the water tank feeds plumbed-in taps and accessories such as washing machines and toilets, this pump is compatible with both the 1 inch and 3/4 inch AquaSaver switches. The AquaSaver switch will take water from the mains supply when there is no longer harvested rainwater in the tank, ensuring you always have water to flush your toilets – an important issue to consider!
